Like many, I have had problems with my weight since I was a kid. I was teased quite a bit in grade school, and I remember that being the first time I would attempt to restrict my food. Luckily, I was very active and played a lot of sports so it wasn’t too out of control. In the eighth grade, I remember standing in line at the cafeteria and a classmate called me a bad name, referencing my weight, for not allowing him to cut in line. That was when I decided to take drastic measures to do something about my weight, which started a cascade of poor eating behaviors while I began to lose weight unhealthily. I struggled with eating disorders all the way through my mid-twenties.
After, I made the decision to stop those behaviors, the weight quickly piled on and I felt out of control. While in grad school, I started the Ideal Protein program and lost around 80 lbs, however I didn’t follow the protocol for phasing off. More than two years later, after reverting to some old eating habits, I’d gained almost all of it back. I knew Ideal Protein worked, so I found Ideal Northwest and restarted.

I obtained my Masters in Counseling and am currently working toward a doctoral degree in Health Psychology.
